In this kingdom, entry is by being born again (John 3:3), born again by the Father's will (James 1:18)
Everyone born is automatically a king by the same grace (1Peter 2:9 Rev 5:10)
We are a holy people, separate unto God and a peculiar breed.
We don't make the habit of sinning (1John 3:8-10). We are children of light. (1Thess5:5)
We are led by the Spirit (Romans 8:14)
But if/when we sin, we are unprosecutable. We cannot be dragged to the court of God's judgment for it. This the scriptures confirmed when it says:
*[[Isa 54:17]] KJV* No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
*[[Isa 50:8-9]] KJV* He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me. Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
You go to court, you will be condemned because it's our Father who rules there. You will wax old like a garment.
Is God siding unrighteousness? It's you that know that one... David said *[[Psa 37:25]] KJV* I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,... Baba is never away from his side.
God clothes them in His own righteousness and defends them as guiltless: they are never forsaken. That is why David wondered and confessed:
Romans 4:7-8 KJV
Saying , Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. [8] Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
He didn't say the man that did not commit sin, but him that the sins he sinned are covered as though he is guiltless. He couldn't have been talking about a man who did not sin at all because such has nothing to cover: it's only a man with sins that has something to cover.
Not only that, the Lord also will not someday go ahead to impute sins.
"impute" is the Greek word "logizomai" which according to Strong's Dictionary means "to take an inventory of". So God will not at the end of the fiscal year like business people do, take stock of his sins. That is, God isn't piling up his sins in one "cooler". He is silent about them and silent forever!
Silent to unrighteousness? No! He is justified in being silent because He will take the punishment on Himself (Jesus Christ), that's why He is permitted to be silent and yet just.
So There is "the man unto whom the Lord will not impute sins"! It is very real!
But Do we have Bible examples? Of course.
We just read how Isaiah just boasted nobody can accuse him. We have more instances. Please follow the following carefully.
*[[Num 12:1]] KJV* And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
What is that?
*[[Exo 34:16]] KJV* And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
*[[Deu 7:3]] KJV* Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
He (Moses) was truly wrong. But what will God do when the case was heard?
Numbers 12:5, 8-9 KJV
And the Lord came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. [8] With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? [9] And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed.
He departed without talking about the sin on ground, as though He never heard about it. Blessed is the man whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Another character that enjoyed this blessedness so much in the old testament is Jacob. All of us know how wicked Jacob used to live: with Esau, tricked even his father, with Laban etc. But in which of the encounters with God did God ever speak to him to open up the covered sins?
Fleeing from Esau's revenge, God met him, and instead of judging him, he was blessing and promising to protect. (Gen 28:12-19)
Remember the bethel and peniel experience: God made no mention of his sins throughout. Not once did God say to Jacob "you are a wicked man. see all the evil you've been doing." Is God supporting his evil deeds? No! Because it's the same God who will change his name and change his life permanently: but that was achieved by persistent no-condemnation encounters.
What about Abraham? We have solid evidence concerning him that God calling him righteous and friend is by faith and not works. In fact, it was his example Paul used to explain righteousness by faith without works (Rom4:1-4). But see how he deceived Pharaoh and God helped him still (Gen 12:12-16) He called Sarai his sister - true: but that's a form of deception. God did not forsake him for that. Still He calls him His friend. You will think that's all, but getting to Chapter 20, Abraham lied again in a similar case about the same Sarah: and the Lord did not hesitate to defend him again. See what God said in his defence.
*[[Gen 20:3]] KJV* But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife.
What about how Jesus encountering sinners? Most times it's the sinners that start to confess their sins and not Jesus accusing them. The only people we see Jesus often exposing their sins are the Pharisees and scribes because they believed in their own righteousness. That's what you often get when you believe in your own righteousness, He'll make you see how poor it is.
Jesus encountered one stark sinner - the Samaritan husband snatcher and discontent, harlot and liar at the well (John 4). Jesus keep getting word of knowledge of how sinful this woman had been and Jesus never said "woman, God is showing me now that the reason for your present predicaments is because of your sins. You've had five husbands..." The only time he mentioned that she's had five husbands, Jesus used it in a commending way. Jesus praised her for being truthful: as if Jesus was just looking for a means of praising her because that's the only good thing about her, the rest were awful.
*[[Joh 4:17-18]] KJV* The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
Until this woman turned evangelist, Jesus never condemned her. Hmm. Surely there is no condemnation to those that are Christ's (Rom8:1)
We see righteousness by faith in the old testament in its evolutionary form, but today, it's established. Jesus in advance bore the chastisement for our peace today (Isaiah 53:4-6) so that God will be just in declaring you and me that believes on him righteous.
God's righteousness is our immunity against satanic accusations so that as we rule as kings in the kingdom, we won't have a cause to be afraid we may be deposed, that the enemy may not triumph. A condemnation here, another there, soon the kingdom is empty and the work of redemption futile. But thanks be to God who always cause us to triumph in Christ Jesus. We are the ones unto whom the Lord will not impute sins. Alleluia!
