God has no favourites III
See Previous PartIINo sentimental approach to God, you cannot win God’s favour!
As we continue in this series, Let’s learn to fight every sentimental approach any church leader or people we term “men of God” like to give us about God. A leader in God’s house must be humble enough to show his followers his ordinariness and simplicity, teaching us how it is God who is working all the mighty things we see through him, and that any man who will be available can do as well. Meek Moses said “I would that all of the Lord’s people were prophets”. And that’s what we want to hear! He call Israel, the Lord’s people, bringing even the weakest of them into relationship with God. Don’t play sentiment of your walk with God! We know God speak to you frequently. We know you pray every hour. We know carry bible all about. We know you see visions often. But never intimidate other younger Christians into confessing they are not really born again! Tell them God speaks to them too, and teach them to walk in greater realms of the Spirit without fear of “what if they know God or do more miracles more than me”!
Don’t begin to think you are the one God loves most because you see favour all around you. No! don’t think you are among the top 10 best loved of God because you get your results so quick and easy. No! You are not God’s favourite by that. You cannot win God’s favour by what you do, otherwise, it is no more favour but a reward! If you become God’s favourite because you live holy and pray and fast much, then it is no more “FAVOURite” but prize-giving day! (you are God’s REWARDite).
In conclusion, we have learnt how that God does not approve a man because of whatever he does, and that God’s favour cannot be won.
