Your "making heaven" is a function of Christ

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 7:25 KJV
please listen to this: What is the work of a saviour if he cannot save completely? Of what use is a saviour if the people to be saved must have to save themselves?
Picture this scenario: a baby fell from a boat into the sea. Soon the baby began to sink, not knowing how to swim. You being a qualified rescuer rushed to help the helpless baby. Now the boat from which the baby fell of is now at the harbour. You Mr Rescuer picked the baby from the deep waters and placed him on the water surface and tells him, "now you should be able to complete the rest and MAKE IT TO THE HARBOUR, I'm done. Work the rest yourself. I'm off to the harbour. If you afterwards die, it's not my fault as the rescuer, it's you who was helped to start well but fell by the wayside".

What a foolish saviour! Thank God Jesus is not foolish: He saves to the uttermost. Uttermost there means "end". He is saying Jesus is able to save to the end. In case you think "able" there means probability or almost-certainty, you missed it. "able" in that context means "qualified". Read with the preceding verses: he has explained the credentials of Jesus that makes Him a QUALIFIED RESCUER to get you safely unto the harbour.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1 Thessalonians 4:14 KJV
So how do we know we in Christ will "make heaven"?
Simple!
We have a Savior. At that altar call, you probably said words like "Jesus become my Lord and personal SAVIOUR". The duty of a saviour is to always SAVE. Until you're saved at last, a saviour's work isn't complete. That's why we needed a high priest who will live forever to intercede.
So how diligent is Jesus at His intercession ministry? This is known by the number of people He can safely carry from start to the harbour. Thank God Jesus cannot fail (Hebrews 13:8). It is never your duty: that's why you were called the sinner, the lost, the perishing; but because you could not do it, Jesus is called the Saviour. Is it that simple? Yes! Accept your status. Mind your business and let Jesus do His job. You think you're the labourer who must strive to make heaven, but He says "1 Samuel 2:9 KJV
He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail." So if you're His saint, He will keep your feet and vice versa. Please leave the work to Jesus. Rest in His arms and stop trying to fix yourself by the fear of falling in His arms (you know that will make you inconvenient if you were the rescuer). Trust and trust Him, the GOOD WORK He started, He must complete it for Him to get that desired eternal applause and commendation from the Father.
Blessed you!
